(u-s:b /Alfex) The new chronograph from the house of ALFEX Switzerland proves that world firsts can be elegantly packaged. The ultimate, big format Big Line lifestyle collection, styled by chief designer Georg Plum, will be supplemented in autumn 2003 by an exciting new chronograph.

The presentation of the new quartz chronograph movements at the Basel Fair 2003 – a world first by Ronda of Switzerland - inspired Georg Plum, to integrate this unprecedented chronograph presentation in to the successful ALFEX Big Line. The dial represents a totally new implementation of the chronograph concept. Instead of the usual three counters, a single eye displays all the chrono information - accurate to the hour, minute and second. The big date placed at the 12 o'clock position automatically moves on from 31 to 01 at the end of the month. This world first in its top design package with a domed magnifier glass and the easy care fine rubber strap is an attractive eye catcher in the ultimate lifestyle collection by ALFEX Switzerland.

All Big Line models are Swiss Made in anti-allergenic stainless steel, with a hardened mineral glass and water-resistant to 30 m. The Big Line chronograph will be available from November 2003 at selected retail outlets in the following versions: black dial with black rubber strap, silver dial with black rubber strap, silver dial with sand-coloured rubber strap. High-grade rubber strap in Elasten 3000 with steel folding clasp. The price is CHF 398.00.
