On certain models, the Flik and Flak brother-and-sister team serve as “helping hands” for younger children, pointing the way to the hours and minutes, while other watches maintain the same basic principle but gradually add more subtle details including a third hand to count off the seconds. Moreover, learning is obviously even more effective if it’s a hands-on experience, which is why several models come in a special package with a cardboard watch including detachable hands that enable younger ones actually to touch and feel the magic of time.
