(u-s:b /Hirsch) With its new IDentification bracelet, the company from Klagenfurt/Austria is again at the forefront of technical development. HIRSCH has always been known for high quality and unusual design, and is now making a name for itself in the IT sector.
Transponders - small chips which transfer data by radio - can now be integrated into almost any watch bracelet from the HIRSCH collection. The ID bracelets are water-resistant and shockproof and therefore eminently suitable for everyday wear. With this amazing technical innovation HIRSCH is now the first manufacturer in the sector to leap into the 21st century. The bracelets offer an interesting alternative to our daily flood of bank, credit and bonus cards, as the most varied data can be written into the transponders: entrance systems for leisure parks, spas, skilifts, etc. can be stored just as easily as cash or personal data such as date of birth or social security number. Confidentiality and security are guaranteed, as depending on the application certain registers on the chip can be "blocked".
The ID bracelet in combination with the appropriate contact-less reader allows you to wear your cards on your wrist; the search for the right card and the struggle with the card machine are things of the past.
The fact that the functions of the ID bracelet can be enjoyed on any timepiece is also a particularly practical feature - it is not necessary to buy an expensive high-tech watch.
The full HIRSCH quality system is also applied to ID bracelets. This means that this new product line also completely fulfils all the quality requirements not only of HIRSCH, but also of all our customers.
As regards technology, HIRSCH is distinguished by the great degree of flexibility on offer. Most of the transponders available on the market - if they are of suitable size - can be integrated into the bracelets. The most favourable chips are those with both write and read functions, which also have a larger storage capacity than other types.
Cooperation with the Technical College of Carinthia
A first cooperation project aimed at general commercial application of the technology has been instigated with the Technical College of Carinthia. A common access system has been developed and implemented. This system is in use at the University and within HIRSCH itself.
A simple hand gesture allows the wearer of the HIRSCH ID bracelet immediate access to the relevant location. HIRSCH does not only want to make daily access to the company - at present implemented by manual coded locks - easier for its staff. The purpose is above all to demonstrate the benefits and possible applications of the ID bracelet to potential partners. The software for the product is being created by researchers at the College.
