(u-s:b /ML) In their resolve to showcase the date, Maurice Lacroix watchmakers have designed the Masterpiece Grand Guichet to reveal the date’s two digits through a double central window in a dial made of solid silver. The model’s movement is the time-honored automatic ML 58 calibre recognized for its ultimate craftsmanship and performance.

To render to the date the daily significance it deserves, Maurice Lacroix has made the functional date display the center of attention in the Masterpiece Grand Guichet and given it a highly visible place in the upper third of the silver dial.
By opting for a large date display, Maurice Lacroix breathes new life into a classic of watchmaking craftsmanship. As early as 1932, the first large date windows began to appear on the market. Using a proven and finely crafted automatic ML 58 calibre, Maurice Lacroix has opted for a two-disc date display developed to usual perfection by the Swiss master watchmakers from Saignelégier: two superimposed discs now revolve independently from one another to make up the numbers of the current date display.
Hour and minute hands of classic elegance, Roman or Arabic numerals and a small seconds display mark the distinctive look of a watch designed to underscore the value of each and every day. In the final analysis, Maurice Lacroix created the Grand Guichet automatic wrist watch for those who refuse to be dictated by dates but long to be inspired by them.

Movement: Hand-decorated automatic ML 58 movement, based on the ETA 2892-2 calibre, 26 jewels, blued steel screws, Incabloc shock protection, polished steel pallet and escapement wheel, Glucydur balance, Nivarox-1 balance spring, Nivaflex-1 main spring.
Functions: Large date indication with two independently rotating disks, small seconds.
Case: Stainless steel, stainless steel/pink gold 18K 750 or pink gold 18K 750; sapphire crystal, screwed caseback with sapphire crystal; water-resistant to 50 m; diameter 40 mm.
Dial: Solid silver 925; silver-coloured, Roman or Arabic numerals; luminous hands (hours/minutes/seconds), Arabic numerals and two index marks on some models.
Watchband: Stainless steel, stainless steel/pink gold 18K 750 or genuine Louisiana croco leather with folding clasp
