(u-s:b /) As a table or mantel clock, in a noble office or surrounded by valuable paintings, the metrica opens the door as an accessory of the time interior. The modern case with metal inlays is the result of the permanent development existing movements and the use of up-to-date materials.
In the extraordinary case you find the Sattler manufacture movement Caliber 1385 with a very unique technical finesse: It contains an integrated so-called counter-ratchet, which also conducts the power during the winding procedure to the movement. A fusee is responsible for the constant driving force. Additional technical specialities of the Metrica are, e.g., the Swiss escapement with balance spring and altogether 11 ruby jewels as well as 12 stainless steel ball bearings of the wheelwork. The movement has a 15-day power reserve and a display of the power reserve on the dial.

Due to the balanced proportions of the wooden case and because of the carefully set accentuation by the manually crafted and blued hands on the beautiful dial, the Metrica receives its unique charm by mere observation. This is partly due to the small second hand and the display of the date with a separate hand.
