(u-s:b /Nautica) Nautica Watches proudly announces its sponsorship of the upcoming Olympic Sailing World Championships in Cadiz, Spain. As The Official Timing Sponsor, Nautica Watches will be equipping several participants with its NS-83 Class yachting watch.

Developed by racers for racers, the NS-83 Class boasts the unique ability to track up to three boats simultaneously. Its fusion of quality, technology and unique functionality make this timepiece an integral part of any nautical event. Proving itself in 2002, the NS-83 Class outfitted over 100 off the world’s finest in the GBR Challenge, Great Britain’s official entry into the Louis Vuitton Challenger series for the America’s Cup.

The NS-83 Class has a lightweight titanium case which is extremely durable and impervious to salt water. The digital display features a day/date function, digital time in two time zones and four alarms. It also has four pre-set countdown timers, including two, which are programmable.

The 2003 ISAF Olympic Sailing World Championships will take place in the Bay of Cadiz, Spain, beginning on September 11th and continuing through the 25th. This event will see world class sailors in nine Olympic classes, fiercely competing for a chance to represent their countries in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
