(u-s:b /Botta-design) With its "ring window display", the CLAVIUS marks a clear departure from all that is ordinary and everyday. A hole has been cut in the middle of the sapphire glass, and a titanium inlay inserted to lie flush with the watch dial. The remaining circular ring around the central disc reveals the watch's bare essentials – namely the three hands and the scale on the dial. The hands are coated with luminescent Superluminova, making them easy to read even in the dark.
The CLAVIUS is a precision timekeeper and eye-catching design piece in one.
From the end of March 2008, the CLAVIUS wristwatch will probably be available for direct order from the Botta-Design website at a cost of €495.
