fashiontime was founded in January 1986 by François Zahnd and Andrea Marco Brüesch as a collective liability partnership. Production and distribution of modern design consumer goods was the field of operation. François Zahnd, 25 years old at the time, was instrumental pushing watches, his personal passion, to the forefront of the range of products. Already in 1988 the collective liability partnership was changed to an incorporated company. At the same time it was decided to exclusively concentrate on the production and sale of wrist-watches. The goal was to become market leader of corporate and gift watches. The founding of a company in Hong Kong for the sourcing of watch parts and one in Toronto for sales in North America was the result of the growing demand for fashiontime watches at the beginning of the 90's. Profits were continuously reinvested in development and structural adjustment. Constructing our own headquarter building in 1999 set the basis for further quality growth. In 2001 Andrea Marco Brüesch left the company and François Zahnd continued as sole managing director. In all these years fashiontime became one of the leading producers of advertising and promotional watches and has sold over 2 million watches to over 1,000 satisfied corporate clients. Since 2003 fashiontime has stressed development, production and distribution of its own watch brands votum and a.b.art. Being a small and independent company fashiontime would like to focus setting stylish accents within the massive watch market.
